ROSY NG - THE NEXT GENERATION

30/10/2008
RoSy NG is the next generation of RoSy. RoSy NG is designed on a basic database design and a framework. In this wall al future modules for RoSy will automatically have the same functionalities as the other modules. New tools in the framework part will automatically function in the same way for all modules installed. In this way it is always easy to start using new modules.

Goodbye to Access

RoSy NG will be available in either SQL or Oracle format. This means that Access will no longer be applied as a platform. In future the demands on accessibility, safety and flexibility for systems used for several administration systems such as RoSy will increase. We want to provide software to our users that will also be safe in future.

The platform that we are applying is reliable and in Germany 40 larger cities are already applying a generation known as RoSy 2005.

Improvements to the system will be the GIS handling obviously with an integrated MAP as well as a remote coupling to other GIS, filtering and search options, a new report generator and the option of designing your own user interface so that the tool is tailored to your requirements.

Another strong functionality is a flexible graphical module. In this way tables and graphs can be created in a second. Your own setup of filters and criteria for display of graphs can be stored from time to time.

Your own user-interface

RoSy NG allows users to design their own user-interfaces. A flexibility that Grontmij | Carl Bro finds obvious because this will allow users to apply the system for other purposes than pavement management such as issuing permits for excavations, traffic planning, accidents, green areas, purification plants, harbours and many other areas of use.

In RoSy NG all modules and tools are included in the same system which means that user-interfaces can contain data from your own and other administration areas - an option opening new ways of working and the option of using the same data in various administrations for different purposes.
