	Introduction to RoSy BASE RoSy is an abbreviation for Road Systems - a comprehensive software package for strategic planning of systematic and optimum maintenance of roads -, roadside area -, and airport pavements RoSy BASE is the database part of the RoSy family, which supplies the data that forms the basis of maintenance strategy calculations. RoSy BASE contains basic data for optimisation of road maintenance and administrative data about roads, laws and regulations, etc. RoSy BASE stores all information on a road network such as basic information (road names and numbers), geometric data (width, length), traffic data, condition data (structural and functional conditions, distress). The crux of a PM System is the road network conditions recorded. On the basis of this data the optimum maintenance solution can be calculated.
